Two companies and nine consortia are vying to oversee the construction of the final, fourth section of Trakiya motorway linking Yambol and Karnobat with an estimated price tag of BGN 3.4 million. Technical offers were opened yesterday, whereas the price offer will remain sealed until review of the technical offers.
Sofia-based Rutex and Patinvest Engineering were the only companies competing on their own and the others have formed tie-ins, the bulk of them with a foreign partner. A wholly-Romanian consortium is the only candidate that has not participated in the tender to supervise the construction of Section Three of the project.
Thirteen companies have filed bids for the construction of the 47.7-kilometre Section Four of Trakiya motorway at an estimated cost of EUR 146 million provided under Transport Operational programme and the European Commission’s Cohesion Fund.
