Roca Bulgaria, part of Roca Group, said it plans to invest 30 mln levs in a new production facility for sanitary ware in Kaspichan, North-eastern Bulgaria. Together with the Roca plant already in operation in Kaspichan, the new factory will increase local output to 1.5 mln items annually.

According to Roca, sales in Bulgaria jumped 30% year-on-year in 2006 and should outperform further in 2007. The Spanish ceramic tiles and bathroom fixtures maker has invested some 22 mln euro in Bulgaria since 1999.

Roca Bulgaria, which is represented here with the Fayans, Roca and Laufen brands, will open over the next couple of months a showroom on the ground-floor of the disused Sofia department store in the downtown of the Bulgarian capital.
