Bulgaria to Spend EUR 35 M on Buildings Renovation
Bulgaria has planned to dedicate about EUR 35 M to renovating housing blocks between 2006 and 2009. Apartment owners would be reimbursed for up to 20% of their energy efficiency expenditures, Stefan Hubenov from the Regional Development Ministry has said. The Finance Ministry will grant the money to the different municipalities, and they would then have to finance building and apartment owners. A total of 10,000 public buildings in Bulgaria have to be renovated to achieve higher energy efficiency.
