A bilateral working group will be formed to work out proposals for the construction of the Sofia-Nis Highway, to connect Bulgaria and Macedonia. The unit will be formed within a month, Bulgarian Regional Development Minister Assen Gagauzov announced after a session with Serbian Capital Investment Minister Velimir Ilic on Monday.
Minister Ilic is paying a two-day working visit to Bulgaria upon the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart. The two ministers discussed the building of border checkpoints and related infrastructure as well as trans-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Serbia.
The Sofia-Nis Highway is part of Europe's strategic transport corridor No.10, which runs along five main roadways across the Old Continent.
