Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov will be in Bansko for the launch of the national campaign under the motto "Let's rebuild a depository of Bulgaria's memory" that aims to collect funds for the Zograf monastery.
An initiative committee will launch the beginning of the campaign for the reconstruction of the east wing of the Zograf monastery in Mount Athos.
The campaign is taking place under the aegis of President Parvanov and with the support of many culture activists and prominent Bulgarians.

In 1745 the Bulgarian monk Paisii Hiledarski went to the Chilendar Monastery and started writing Istorya Slavyanobylgarska (the Slav-Bulgarian History) that is completed in 1762 in the Bulgarian "Sveti Georgi Zograf" monastery.
