Maltese company Kabland will present today to the local government in Pomorie (Bulgaria), on the Black Sea, a 53 mln euro golf course project. The golf complex, to be built on 200 ha near the village of Kableshkovo and 10 km from the coastline, will incorporate an 18-hole course, villas, hotels, swimming pools, a horse-back riding track, tennis courts, a casino, a soccer pitch and polo grounds. The facility will have 800 year-round staff. The project will be implemented within 2 years.
PricewaterhouseCoopers will consult and audit the project. Kabland is co-owned by Malta-registered NGB Consulting (80%) and the Pomorie municipality (20%). In related news, it was announced that the Golf Plus company will build a golf course on 3.7 ha site in Bansko, the ski resort town located some 160 km south of Bulgaria's capital Sofia. The transfer of the land plot was approved at the last session of the municipal council.
The investment is seen at 5 mln levs. Golf Plus is co-owned by air carrier Air Sofia and Fisko Group and already operates golf courses in Ihtiman, near Sofia, and in Sliven, South-eastern Bulgaria.
