A total of 21 companies have bid for the construction of the Lyulin highway in Sofia, Bulgaria. The opening of the bids took place Tuesday. The highest offer was that of Medo Lyulin - EUR 203,559,241, whereas the lowest bid was that of Turkish consortium Limak-echo - EUR 118,95 M. The short list with the bidders will be presented in December.
In September the Supreme Administrative Prosecution decided to abolish the act of beginning the construction of the highway. It motivated that decision with omission in the administrative and procedural laws.
The appealers said the aim of their appeal is not to stop the construction of the highway or to block the absorption of EUR 111 M ISPA financing, but to choose a better alternative for the highway.
